Anyone, whatever their age, who absorbs and practices the wisdom to be found in these pages will have a richer and more rewarding life.
This is one of the most amazing, inspirational works I have ever read. . . . The book belongs in the motivation and personal growth area of every library. Highly recommended.
[A] positive-thinking handbook filled with simple exhortations reminiscent of the Horation Alger stories of the 19th century.
Templeton has also written what he considers the spiritual secrets of his success, and he shares these in the book’s 200 short chapters. Although a professing Christian, Templeton mainly refers to "natural law," principles of ethical living derived from the universe’s laws. Scripture figures prominently, but so do the sayings of such non-Christians as Buddha, Marcus Aurelius, and Ralph Waldo Emerson. Although the book has much general wisdom for business and daily life, it’s questionable whether it’s appropriate for a Christian retail store, since the words of the Bible are treated equally with those of other religious traditions.
